SDLC is an association of SuccessDigest magazine readers. The club’s main objective is to empower its members to be the very best that they can be in any field of human endeavour, groom them for leadership role in various fields as well as provide a platform for fostering unity in the country.
The club, which was launched formally on Saturday, September 9, 2000, at the Oranmiyan Hall of Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja on the occasion of the 5th Anniversary of SuccessDigest magazine, has three categories of members. They are the Youth, the Entrepreneur and the Mentor.
The Youth
By our classification, anyone in the post secondary school or anyone within that age bracket who is not in formal school or regular employment or running a business of his own falls into this category.
Membership of the club will give this class of Nigerians the golden opportunity to shape their lives positively. They will enjoy the benefit of being guided to lead useful lives by mentors who have once passed that road successfully.
They will meet regularly to share life-changing information. They will also interact with members from different parts of the country, thus creating avenues for enduring friendship and collaborative effort.
The Entrepreneur
This is the second category. They are those who already own businesses. Being a member of the club will give them access to profit-generating ideas and business building skills that are vital for growing a business and increasing the reward accruable from taking entrepreneurial risk.
The Mentor
A mentor is: * a person who has distinguished him/herself in a particular field or occupation in the public and private sectors
* a person who serves as a role model by the exemplary life he/she lives l a person known to be morally upstanding in society
* a person who has invested in hard work and reaps the benefits thereof l a mentor is a leader who inspires not just himself with confidence but others as well.
Mentors will enjoy the satisfaction of helping Nigerian youths to develop leadership qualities that will make them better citizens and prepare them adequately for a highly rewarding future.
